TRAINING

Training on intercultural education and ethnology research for 16 teachers from high schools from Niš and Vidin has been organized in the beginning of the project, it lasted four days and it included the themes in the sphere of intercultural education, such as: cultural identity, meeting of two cultures, culture of Bulgaria, culture of Serbia – similarities and differences, cultural differences as the reason for non-understanding and clashes or the reason for encouragement and development, tolerance or acceptance of foreign cultures, etc., while the second part of the training was related to the themes of ethnology and ethnological researches – collection and keeping of ethno items and nourishing cultural heritage.

The aim of the training was to reinforce the teachers so that they would transmit the acquired knowledge and skills to the pupils gathered in schools around ethno workshops and they would be something like mentors of pupils’ activities such as collecting and nourishing ethno items.

Besides the direct work with the project participants, the training was significant for the teachers since the themes that were done in the training are easily implemented in the teaching programs and non-teaching activities in high schools.
